Three's a Crowd
Hey everybody, so this past week was super exciting with a bunch of cool stuff. So let's get right into it!
So first off, last monday at around 9 the assistant called us and said that we are getting a new companion, Elder Brown. So we are now in a trio! He is somewhat new to the mission
We met with Daniel during the week. We had 2 good lessons with him, and invited him to be baptized this weekend, and he accepted! Then, Saturday and Sunday we lost contact with him and he didn't go to church. But we are going to meet with him again on tuesday!
Then, we also met with Margarita. She is gaining more interest and, came to church with us on Sunday! It was cool!
And then, we found Perla and Diana during the week. We visited them one day and talked with them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invited them to be baptized. Perla was a little doubtful about it. Then we went back two days later and we were more direct. I shared a scripture with them, and then later invited Perla to get baptized, and this time they accepted!! They have a fecha for the 6th of April! They also came to church on sunday!
And then, on Saturday we had our weekly activity. And this time, there was around 22 of us that showed up. Plus, the majority weren't members!! The bishop came with his wife, as well as like 8 other kids (his nephews and family members). And then Perla and Diana came as well! And they brought 3 others with them too! There was a ton of kids there, like almost everyone there was between 8 and 13 years old. So it wasn't really a mutual, but it was a success!
And sunday, in total we had 7 people at church that we are teaching! They were, Norma, Margarita, Perla and Diana, Edwin and Dillan, and Israel. Edwin and Dillan are two of the bishops nephews that came to the activity the day before, and Israel is the husband of a member that came to our ward yesterday. They don't live inside our ward boundaries though... But it still counts! haha
And today, after washing our clothes we went to the gym of a member and worked out. And now I can't feel my arms...
But, I feel I should bear my testimony, which is something I haven't done in an email in a while. But I want you all to know that this church is true. We have a living prophet, that leads and guides this church. And next week we will have the chance to listen to prophetic revelations for all of us. Jesus Christ is our Savior. He sacrificed his whole life for our salvation, and through him and His Gospel we can receive eternal life. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and I love studying its words. I know that we receive blessings, even miracles, when we follow the commandments. I know that through the Atonement, we all can receive forgiveness. And I share that with you all, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Anyways. is that everything? I hope so... I love you all! Keep going strong!
