Fantastic Week

So this past week went really great!

Gabriela's baptism went good! Though it turned out to be quite the adventure. So her entrevista went good on friday, and saturday was when we went to check out everything for the font for sunday, because sunday was when the baptism was before the services. Mostly, we just needed to make sure that the boiler worked and then clean the font. So the boilers here to heat up the water for the font turn on when the water starts going through. But we ran into a problem. The boiler is wayyyyy too small for the font and the large amount of water that comes through. So basically our baptismal font never has hot water. So, we started brainstorming, praying, and calling people to figure out how we could heat up the water. What we ended up doing was buying some resistencias (which are like sticks with large metal rods that heat up) and extension cords to try and heat up the font. So after arriving to the church on Sunday at like 7 in the morning, we plug in the 3 resitencias with extension cords for each one, and put them in the font. Shortly after, the plugs in that room no longer worked, like we blew a breaker or a circuit or something. So we plug 2 resitencias in from a different plug, and do what little those things can in a big font. Basically, after all our efforts, the water ended up being cold anyways...😂 So then everyone gets there at the church and we start the program and then it comes time for the baptism. And Gabriela steps in the water and is like "Noo the water is too cold." And silently both of us were praying that everything would work out fine. And then she says "Well, we are already here" and then goes in.
But yeah everything went great! Elder Sandoval baptized her and then I confirmed her! So that was awesome!

Then sunday, we received 2 references from a member at church, that she brought with her. Their names are Perla and her daughter Diana. They are excited to continue going to church and want to learn more! They have a lot of potential!

And then monday and tuesday was our zone conference. It was really good and helped me understand a lot of things that I can change. We also had a challenge that whoever had the cleanest house in the zone would get a free pizza and a picture with a golden mop. It turns out, everyone in the zone had a clean apartment, so we are all winning a pizza party next zone conference! So that's cool!!

And finally, well Elena's baptism will be this weekend too! So that is more progress!

And, yesterday was my comp's birthday! So Happy Birthday Elder Sandoval! Today we celebrated with him with some cake and ice cream and going to a bunch of places in Monclova! Like a trampoline park and a nice restaurant. It was awesome!

We are working hard and trying harder! I love you all family and friends and everyone!!
