El Tiempo del Señor
Hey guys, back again!
Well Elena's baptism didn't go through this week. But I'll explain that. So let's walk through what happened this past week.
So monday, we went and talked with Elena's mom. And Elena's mom didn't know that Elena was going to get baptized that weekend, so we went to talk with her. After talking with her, we called Elena to tell what happened, and she said that her and her mom would talk to figure out when the baptism was going to be. Also Gerardo wasn't there because he was out of town for work.
Tuesday, We had some citas with some part-member families and then ward council. Nothing too much to report.
Wednesday, nothing really.
Thursday, we wake up to a message from Elena that says her and her mom talked and set the date for her baptism for the 17th of February. So that is now a set date. We also had citas with Carmen, but she wasn't there, Uriel and his family who are members, and Gabriela and Noe. We talked with Gabriela, and set a fecha for her for this sunday, the 10th. She started a new job that prohibits her from attending church, but she wants to be baptized and understands the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day holy. So that is cool! We'll see if we can get permission for her baptism!
Friday, we visited another inactive family. Had other citas with some other people, and refound an old investigator. Not much to report, but it was good.
Saturday, we had multiple citas as well. We talked with an older lady and her husband for a good time. And a few citas that weren't there.
Sunday, only Elena was at church. But it was good. And then last night, we found and talked with Carmen again. It started off with her basically telling us that she doesn't want to get baptized anymore. But then after talking with her about the Restoration and prayer and many things, she said that she will read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. So yeah. It was a good week overall. No baptisms, but it went good.
Oh, and one of the days we found this younger guy and his mom, I think it was his mom anyways. But his name is Jacobo Turner. Yes. We found someone in Monclova with the last name of Turner! It was dope. He is very interested in learning about other religions, and he said he wants to read the Book of Mormon. We won't be going back with him for like 2 weeks, but it was pretty cool to meet another Turner in Monclova!
Anyways. That's everything. Love you all! I hope you all do well!
