The Best Two Years in Saltillo Mexico

Hey peoples! So this past week had some good and some bad. So let's see what's happening! But before, just wanna give my dad a  HAPPY BIRTHDAY /FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS! First off, Elena's baptism is going to be this Saturday! So that is super exciting! Everything should go great there! Bad news, we haven't been able to visit with Carmen at all last week. So we are not sure if she will get baptized this weekend too. But we are going to try and see what we can do. We also weren't able to visit Gabriela because her husband was working super late like every night. We were hoping to visit her so that we could put another fecha for next weekend. But we will see what's up. And then, we had a hard time getting Gerardo to fulfill his commitments, but after talking with him it was all a miscommunication. Hey people!  So, let's talk about this past week. First of all, while we were looking for inactive members Tuesday morning, we got a call from the secrataries and I had to go to Saltillo for stuff for my visa. So later that day I went down to Saltillo. The next day we went to the Immigration office, which really was an old house turned into an office, and signed some papers. Then Elder Atkin, my bro, and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings before going back north to our areas. It was dope.  We talked with Gerardo with a member with us. It was really good because the member was super direct with him about praying and reading to get an answer. And it was necessary. We are going back tonight to see how it went.  So later, we had a cita with Carmen, and we set a fecha with her for the 2nd of February. Carmen is an older lady that we found in the registros. She has a son and his family that are members. She lives alone, and likes to learn more. She was at chur...

Hey everyone! How's it going?  This past week was prety good! First off, we had Elena at church. We are trying to encourage her to speak with her dad, and also so that we can go talk with her dad too if that will help. So we will talk wtih her to see what's up! And then Noe, Gabriela's husband, came to church with us! Unfortunately, Gabriela didn't come because she was taking care of their child, but that is a start! We also called an inactive member, Uriel, to pick them up so we can reactivate Uriel's family too! So that was effective!  Gerardo wasn't able to make it to church today because he was working. But he says that he only works like every other sunday. So hopefully he can make it this week! But we are going to talk with him tonight! And one night, we were trying to look for an old investigator, and I contacted into this lady named Irene. She was just moving into that house that same day. Hey everyone! So the first week of January 2019 is over, and it was a good start.  So first off, we went back with Gerardo and we had a great lesson with him. We read Enos and talked about prayer with him. He asked us some really good questions, and at the end of the lesson, he said he would read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true.  Then, we also found this one lady named Juanita. We talked with her about the Book of Mormon too. She told us that she wants us to talk with her two kids too, who are like 20 years old or so. She understand the Book of Mormon and the importance of prayer. She also committed to read pray as well. And then, we talked with Gabriela and Noe too. We had a good talk with them and Noe told us to go pick them up sunday morning for church. But then, saturday night he told us that we didn't need to pick them up anymore. Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of an email last week, but hey. It was Christmas time. and today is New Year's Eve. So see you next week. Ok ok, just kidding.  So, these past two weeks we have found some good people. One of them is a kid named Carlos. We had a short lesson with him about faith, and he liked it a lot. Sadly, he wasn't there the next time. So we still haven't found him yet. But he is cool. We also found this other kid named Vicente who is a friend of less-active kid in our ward. Hopefully we can get both of them together and at church too!  We also recieved a reference on Christmas Eve for this man named Gerardo. He is an older guy who wants to become closer to Jesus Christ. We talked with him and ended up giving him a Book of Mormon and we are going back with him this week.  We also found this other family who let us into their house and we talked to them for a while.
