Happy Mother's Day

So first off, sorry that the laptop I used didn't have a good microphone, but atleast we got to talk for a little bit!! It was quite interesting just listening to everyone and not really being able to talk back. It was alright!:P

But lets go through some of the highlights for the past week, shall we?

Well, so we are having Elder Pino, who is a General Authority of the Seventy, some to our mission next week. We will be having a multi-zone conference with him presiding. That will be a really awesome experience.

Something kinda funny. So we found these two people, Nayla and Alexa. Nayla has 2 little kids and Alexa is her niece. We talked with them and shared a lesson, then set an appointment to return Saturday. So we returned and found Lupita and Micol. Lupita has a little kid and Micol is her niece. We found Lupita and Micol in almost the exact same situation, because it was an aunt with kids with her niece. All of them are cool and let us in without any problems! So that was kinda cool.

We also found this girl named Heidy who is 19 years old. While we were planning, Elder Garcia asked me what part of the area we were going to contact, and I replied in Landin, one of the colonias. So that morning we started contacting as we were heading towards there and we went to this little street that had like maybe 15 houses on it or something in Landin. The first house we contacted, and out comes Heidy. After talking with her for a while, we find out that she likes two main things, cosas de Dios and football. American football. That is probably the first time I've ever met a woman who plays on an actual football team and likes to talk about God and religion and stuff. She's pretty cool.

Another thing that I have always tried to do in my contacts, is ask them if they want us to offer them a prayer. And this weekend I saw a benefit of that. We contacted this house and this dad walks out and I start talking to him a little. And then I ask him if we could offer a prayer and share a little message. But he says maybe another time so we leave. We go further up the street when the daughter of that guy comes up to us and asks us if we could offer a prayer with them. Come to find out the mother heard me ask that and she wanted a prayer for their family. Just some kind of cool, unique experiences from this past week!
