We Almost Died (My Worst Enemy Strikes Again)
The title might sound a little dramatic, which is probably true, but we will get to that later.
So last Monday there was an FHE for the whole ward, and there were three kids there, Jerry, Regina, and Jesus who are friends of one of the families. Then we returned to visit them on Thursday, only to find out that they have school in the afternoons. So we haven't gotten back with them yet, but we have an FHE planned with them and the member family. Though the member family is moving to Toluca like next week. So that's kind of a bummer, but the work goes on!
So Lucy still has the fecha for this saturday, though she wasn't able to come to church on Sunday because she left town. She still doesn't feel ready to be baptized, But we are working hard and praying that everything will work out this weekend.
And then I went on exchanges with Elder Leon and we went to our cita with Maria and Juan. Maria wasn't there, but Juan was and we had a great lesson with him. Juan has trouble with drinking problems and some crazy things have happened in his life. But he has a strong desire to be baptized and change his life around. We invited him to be baptized, and he accepted. So if things go well and he can quit drinking, he will be baptized.
We also have Alison, who is the wife of a member. She knows a bit about the church, but she wants to learn more because us Mormons are focused on having eternal families! Though she didn't come to church... And I don't know who her husband is either. Other than the fact that his name is Carlos.
Now onto the title. Which is what you've all been waiting for. Or have forgotten about. But here goes...
So we were returning home Saturday night to the casa, down the steep road that we always walk up and down. It's a road that has nice houses on it. Like nice houses with big yards and big walls around it so you can't see anything in their yard. Nothing was out of the ordinary, except one thing. The big gate to one of the houses was open. My comp, Elder Garcia saw it and thought nothing of it at first. But as we got closer, he noticed a big shadow in the entrance of the house. And out of nowhere, this gigantic killer dog runs straight towards us, with the bark of a dog that has no mercy. Out of panic I turn so that my bag is in front of me like a barrier, and both my comp and I are like back pedaling, facing this dog, so it doesn't kill us. And out of instinct, I scream. With a scream that I will not replicate, nor can I. And for some reason, I think that scream is what made this evil dog retreat. I didn't want to get bitten again. And I think that dog got the message. Then we kept walking as the dog turned to the car driving by instead, laughing about what just happened. The moral of the story, well for me anyways, is that one of my best friends is also one of my worst enemies. Though I still love dogs and forever will.
Well. That's all folks! Love you all!
Turn in next time!

The Pictures. And they strike a third time...
Hey mom, remember those brownies that you sent me for my birthday? Well here they are!
All made and baked!:P Happy late birthday brownies to me!:P
And then the dog of the family that helped bake them for us stepped in the brownies. Though luckily we had already eaten half of it. But can you spot the paw? (Dogs don't like me)
Then we also had these things called Torejas. Or something like that.
And this kid stole my camera and took a picture of me.
