Transfers...Adios Sabinas. Hola Saltillo

First off, this will be a short email. Lo siento. So yeah, I am leaving Sabinas tomorrow to go to my new area! Which is Obregon in the Miravalle zone in Saltillo. It's a bit sad that I am leaving, but I am excited to start in a new area. But my comp is Elder Garcia. A different Elder Garcia from my first comp!:P . So that's kinda funny! But goodbye Elder Hayden... It's been a good time. There are two little kids we found this past week that are awesome. Cesar age 13 and Santiago age 10. They have already read more of the Book of Mormon than many other people have!! THey were going to come to church with us on Sunday, but they had to go to their grandparents house instead. But they are awesome. Anyways, that's about everything I have to say for this week. Also, General Conference is this weekend, if you didn't know!! It is awesome that we have the opportunity to hear from living prophets and apostles and the counsels they have for us. It will be cool to s...

Lots Of Stuff

Image
So like the title, lots of stuff happened this past week. So I don't think I'll get to write everything in detail. But to start, here is a summary: Last Monday after emailing: Got bit by a dog. and ate a tres leches cake for my birthday.  Tuesday: Actually not much, fairly normal day. Wednesday: Normal day as well. Thursday: Went on exchanges with Elder Escobedo after the comida in my area. Friday: Volleyball, watching Coco!? and the assistant Elder Ibarra went with us in the afternoon and for the night! Saturday: Zone Conference, eating by the river and two baptisms in Sabinas 2.  Sunday: District Conference in Nueva Rosita and back to normal working. Monday, this morning: Helping Sabinas 2 move some rocks and dirt from the roof of an Hermana in their ward and cleaning clothes. The story of getting bit by a dog, is just a story of doing too many things at once. And that's really all there is to know. Next. Exchanges with Elder Escobedo went well f...

The Up's and Down's and A Birthday?!

Image
Good afternoon fellow peoples. Or whenever you happen to be reading. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has sent me birthday wishes! It has been a good one so far! This past week was actually pretty crazy and packed. A lot of stuff happened. And also not much happened at the same time. But it is well! Shall we begin? So as part of District Meeting last week, we had cheesecake as a small early celebration for my birthday! Elder Hayden made em and baked em the day before on p-day. They were really good! Thursday I went on an exchange with Elder Escobedo, who is from Guatemala, in his area. It was a cool day with getting to see parts of Sabinas that I hadn't seen before!:P Saturday we went back to the area that we haven't worked much in, and ended up helping two teenagers clean up their yard, including shoveling a ton of rocks to make it look nice. While we were there, an investigator that we have came up and said she wouldn't be able to come to c...

! Week Countdown

Image
Oh hi, didn't see you there! First things first, Happy Birthday CRYSTAL! ¡Feliz Cumpleaños! (Sorry it's a bit late) And it's sad to see the Stake Presidency get released! But it's cool to see the new one! So the past week has been crazy once again! Including 2 more intercambios and 4 baptisms with the Elders in Sabinas 2, whom my comp baptized one of them.  So wednesday I went on changes with Elder Diaz from Argentina, and it went great. We ended up going to a part of my area that I had never even been to before. And found two new investigators within like 30 minutes. Then thursday it went back to normal. Then friday I went on another change with Elder Schoenberger from Arizona while my comp was doing baptism interviews for Sabinas 2. We went and visited a family of less actives in Agujita and commited two of them to get baptized on the 24th. The hard part with them though, is getting them to church. Because the husband works on sundays, and his wife goes t...
