The Up's and Down's and A Birthday?!
Good afternoon fellow peoples. Or whenever you happen to be reading.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has sent me birthday wishes! It has been a good one so far!
This past week was actually pretty crazy and packed. A lot of stuff happened. And also not much happened at the same time. But it is well!
Shall we begin?
So as part of District Meeting last week, we had cheesecake as a small early celebration for my birthday! Elder Hayden made em and baked em the day before on p-day. They were really good!
Thursday I went on an exchange with Elder Escobedo, who is from Guatemala, in his area. It was a cool day with getting to see parts of Sabinas that I hadn't seen before!:P
Saturday we went back to the area that we haven't worked much in, and ended up helping two teenagers clean up their yard, including shoveling a ton of rocks to make it look nice. While we were there, an investigator that we have came up and said she wouldn't be able to come to church that week, but she will next week. And that she had read the Restoration pamphlet and a little of the Book of Mormon. Then a little later while we were still there. A little kid walked up to us and said his mom wants to know what church we are from. After explaining a little to him, we waved his mom to come over because she was outside. She told us that she had been going to our church for a little while before, but they were never baptized. So we are going to pass by them too this week!
Sunday was fairly normal. Except for the fact that it was pretty windy for a while and us missionaries in Sabinas did a little contacting in the plaza from about 5-8:30. We had a poster made with the picture of Jesus Christ visiting the people of America and we made that our focus. It started off slow. But it picked up fairly quickly and we gave away quite a few Books of Mormon.
And then today, well. We cleaned up the house. Really good. And then we went to eat some Chinese food for my birthday! (Sorry mom, the brownies will have to wait for a little)
Also this weekend is Zone Conference! So that should be awesome!
I hope things are going better and better wherever you all may be! I love you all and thank you for your support and love!!
Pics: The two great gifts from people, real good Sausage and Mountain Dew! Thanks Fam. Casas and Elder Schoenberger! And the cheesecake!
