The Last Week of Transfers

Back once again for another week (and transfer) of the life of the mission of the area of Sabinas 1-B of the District of Sabinas of the Zone of Nueva Rosita of the Mission Saltillo Mexico. Whew.

So a bunch of stuff happened and a lot of back and forth between areas this past week. Thursday I was with Elder Escobedo in Sabinas 2, working with him. And then Saturday I went with Elder Diaz to work in the other half of Sabinas 1! It's kinda nice having a little break from English and having to talk Spanish! It definitely helps to learn faster. That being said, here is another transfer with Elder Hayden!

Last week while we were in Las Palmas, I felt like we needed to stop by a contact that me and Elder Garcia had made in December. So we stop by and she answers the door. After a little bit of talking, she says, "Why haven't you guys came back yet? Last time you were here was the 22nd or 23rd of December." So she remembered almost exactly the day that we talked with her, which was actually the first time we talked with her. Speed up to this point and we have taught her the Plan of Salvation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she accepted the baptismal date for the 24th of February! However she couldn't make it to church, so the date will have to be pushed back... But she is super interested and has a big desire for change. Which is funny because in a corner of her house, she has a bunch Catholic stuff and a giant picture of San Judas Tadeo on the wall. But she says she only has those things there because her mom gave them to her to take care of. Jajaja. And her name is San Juanita. All of this would lead you to think she is super Catholic, but she isn't!

On Sunday, Elder Hayden and Elder Diaz gave talks, and Elder Atkin and I got away with not giving one because we already had in Sabinas 1! But our only investigator in church was Alejandro. We still haven't been able to teach him a little before being baptized because his dad has been insanely busy. So that has been a bit of a struggle. We had hopes for more to come, but they didn't show. :(
Tis the life of the mission!

Anyways, it's been awesome to work with Elder Atkin for these past 3 transfers in Sabinas 1. But tis the life of the mission!

Also, many thanks to the Bakers, Sis. Buatte, the Hawks, Sis. Whitney and the 8th ward beehives, and my Turner grandparents for the letters that I just got! Even though it's now February, I am very grateful for the Christmas letters! Jajaja

Also for my parents and the birthday package they sent! Even though it's a month away exactly from today and I already have it!!

I love you all and thank you so much for the continued support!
