Blinded
Hey everyone, how's it going?
So maybe the title is over-reacting and an exaggeration, but I'll explain later.
So first off, with the Christmas season and the Light the World intiative, one of the things we did this week was a bit of service for an hermana in our ward. Her sons don't really help her with anything, so we went and helped her clean their house and finish putting up her Christmas tree! It looked good after!
And then, we have a new focus of getting referrals from members. So we have been giving out these little referral cards to the members after a short message and service too. We hope that this will bring greater results.
I went on interchanges too with Elder Bayona, who was with me in the same district before in Saltillo. So it was cool working with him again. But while I was with him, we started contacting in the morning and he was like, "We gotta contact that house." So we went and contacted it and a lady answered. She told us that the missionaries had visited them a long time ago, and she wants us to visit them again! So that was cool. And then I looked at the phone and saw that we had 6 new messages. Which happened to be 2 different referrals from the offices. So that was rather neat.
But something cool, I think, is that an old investigator called us over while we were walking past this families house. She is a 14 year old or so, but she told us that she wanted to get baptized. The only thing is, that this family is very used to having missionaries go over for fun and friendship. So we couldn't really tell if she was serious or not. But are going to see this week.
And then how I got blind. Well, we went to visit another sister in our ward, and as I was entering, my glasses fell off. So I had lost a screw to my glasses, and now it is nowhere to be found. So, yeah. That's cool.
And yeah, that's about all I got. Love you all! I hope that you all are going great! Keep going strong!
