Mmm... Good Toast...

Image
What's up everybody? So this past week was quite interesting. We found some interesting people and ate some good stuff.  So let's get into it. So first of the interesting people we found, is an athiest named Sergio and his daughter Atica. And actually, for being an athiest, he is pretty receptive. He said that he doesn't believe in God because there is no solid proof. We had a little talk with them and why they believe what they believe (or rather lack thereof), and what we believe. We shall them this week again. We also found this family who is very devout to the baptist church. When we got there, they told us that they were preparing for their sunday school class the next day. And that they had never talken with us before. So we were talked with them and they had a ton of questions about a ton of stuff. But at the end, they felt more like they were running away from our invitation to them to read the pamphlet. So we'll see about that. And then, we foun...

Mexican Independance

Hello people! So back once again here. Let's get into this letter. Which won't be too long because there isn't much too say. So on Wednesday, I went on a quick intercambio with Elder Diaz, who I was with for a time in Sabinas. So that was awesome, though the people that went looking for weren't home. And then after we ended the exchange and went to a FHE with our most recent convert Lalo and his family. We invited this missionary who served in this mission before who happened to be here to come. But then him and his bishop turned our FHE into their business proposal... So that was interesting. There was this person that we were teaching, Diana, who was really open and interested. The only problem was, that her parents are very, very against us. So that was a big bummer. She can't progress right now because of her parents. And Saturday was a busy day as well. We had our cita with Gaby, who is interested, but doesn't want to come to church. And finding...

Attack of the Bird

Hello everyone!  So this past week was rather interesting, to say the least. A lot of weird stuff happened. But we also had our baptism for Lalo!! So that was great! So first, it was been raining every... single... day... And the worst part, is that our street of our house floods super easily. So needless to say, I've gotten soaked. And my umbrella is broken. So that doesn't help. And despite the fact that there is a ton of water in the environment, we have no water in the house. Our water problems have once again returned... So that is kinda lame. And then, friday I got a killer food poisoning attack or something. Becuase I had a stomach ache and diarrhea. Not soo fun. So the Elders in Guayulera came to help us out for part of the day in divisions. But with no water in the house, we couldn't really flush the toilet super well for part of the day... so yeah... Then Saturday, we had the baptism of Lalo! And while we were preparing for the baptism, this la...

The Year and Elder Bednar (Part 2)

Image
Hello everyone! This past week has been incredible. Not only did I hit a year on the misison, but we had an amazing experience with Elder Bednar. So let's talk about that. So the conference took place on Friday. And it was awesome. Elder Bednar really is an apostle and prophet. He also has a great sense of humor. But for the conference, he said that he wanted to do something he hadn't done before in all of his apostleship. He started, by asking us questions and leaving us to respond to them. Then, it was our turn to ask him questions, and let him respond. A lot of the general theme of the conference was about learning by the Holy Ghost and faith and accepting God's will. It was quite an incredible experience.   Then, on wednesday I hit my year. So that was sick. Then we also put a fecha meta with Lalo for this saturday. He is super prepared. And the cool part is, both him and his wife work in the medical field. Which is uncommon. So yeah, there isn't...
