A Great Week

So first off. How is everyone doing? How are your lives?

This past day (basically) has been quite crazy for Mexico. The elections were yesterday to decide the next Mexican President, and now for the third time in the history of Mexico, the next president is from a political party other than PRI. So that's interesting. Also Mexico lost to Brazil in the World Cup. So that was kind of sad to hear. Also it now July. Wait. How is it July already? It just barely turned 19 how is it July? Anyways, now let's get on with the good stuff, shall we?

So this past week has been great. We had Beatriz at church once again, who came alone with her 2 kids as her husband had to work. She is still preparing to get baptized and is a super powerful person and will definitely be a great leader for others. We also set up an appointment with Carlos for the first time, who has been to church for like a month now. So that will be awesome as well, as we start to teach him. I believe he will be baptized as quickly as we can teach him.

We also had this small family who said they were going to come to church, but then she had to go and work. But the family is the mom, Chareni, and her two daughters, Naomi and Mareli. Chareni told us that she had gotten baptized a long time ago, but never went back to get confirmed. So that was quite the bit of information to receive as a missionary! Also her two daughters are 10 and 8 years old, which is really cool.

We also found this other family, though it's mainly the wife, Silvia, who is interested. But when we found them, after the short, little lesson, we asked, "Is there anything we can do to help you before we leave?" And she replied, "Yes, keep coming to visit us." We were like, "Wait... WHAT?" She really felt something about our message of the Plan of Salvation. Really a cool feeling to feel. Though the sad part is we weren't able to contact her cellphone on Saturday to set up coming to church with us. Pero ahí vamos.

We have also been working with Cesar more too. Though this past time we went he wasn't there. But it was raining at the time and his family let us in, and we hadn't talked with them at all until that time. They said that they wanted our help to keep Cesar from being a tremendous teenager and going down the wrong path. Which is a great sign because they aren't against us from talking with their son.

We are working more with Armando too. Though he has a super not serious attitude, always joking about things. So it's kind of hard to teach him. And we are also working with the Quintana family and their son Omar. Though they didn't make it to church either. But things are going good here and we have a lot of people that can progress and make their first covenant with the Lord.

I hope everyone is doing well and that you get to keep doing well. I love you all and talk with you next week!

Also pictures of Saltillo and the infamous Monster Cafe that we found.
