An Eternal Promise
Hey peoples! Let's get into it.
And onto this week. We found a woman named Samantha. Or, Elder Leon and Elder Garcia found her, but it was in Obregon nonetheless. She has a strong desire to improve her life to be baptized. She accepted a fecha for the 26th of May while Elder Garcia and I returned for the next appointment. Although through some miscommunication and other things she wasn't able to come to church. So that was kind of a bummer, but she has a great desire to change.
We also found a recent convert from like a year ago who used to live in La CaƱada or another ward, named Nicol. She is super nice, and we are pretty sure that she is also the only member in her family. She also knows Tae Kwon Do, so that's kind of insane. She said that she could make nationals in Mexico, even internationals, for Tae Kwon Do. So are going to work with them too.
Then there is another part member family, familia Liserio. Javier is a member, but his wife, Beatrice isn't. They have talked with the missionaries before, but had a bad experience with them. But we have been getting to know them and making friends with them. We had a fantastic lesson with them, a little long too, learning more about them. They expressed their desire to have an eternal family, especially because they had a baby pass away before. And we were able to explain something that the other missionaries before hadn't, about their child. It was a very spiritually strong lesson, and Beatrice has a strong desire to have their eternal family. It was very powerful as we were able to share about eternal families, and how we can have hope even when it seems like there is none.
And at the end of this past week, with rain and all. I can only say that this church is true. That the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. And that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Love you all. Sigan echandole ganas.
