Week 2-3 in Sabinas. So New Casa??

Majestic pic of myself.

Hola muchachos!

Entonces, this past week wasn't quite the normal turn of events...  But it was still pretty good. So we have been living with Elder Atkin and Elder Lorenzo for the first week or two, because our house wasn't ready yet. But on thursday we were able to move into our new casa! It isn't too big but it's pretty nice! My mattress is just on the floor because I don't have a bed frame, but the mattress is fantastic.

In other news, we helped Hermana Hafner move some boxes and a bookcase in her house, and it was quite the ordeal. This bookcase was bigger than the door was... By quite a lot... And it was custom made, so it was pretty heavy. But eventually we figured out how to turn it to best fit it through the door and got it to it's home where it has less than an inch of space on both sides.

And then, there was this guy outside one of these Oxxo's that stopped us and wanted to talk with us, and his name was Chilo Texas. He had on a cowboy hat, some ripped jeans, and a white shirt with a flower in it. He asked us how President Monson was doing, so that was pretty cool, and then he asks us if we can talk to someone on the phone for him at the San Antonio Music Department or something like that. So we are going to go back on miƩrcoles to help him out. There are quite a few interesting people here. But it's awesome.

Anyways, so one of our new investigators that we found this past week, or rather found us, is named Carlos. We were just outside this person's house talking to the Zone Leaders or someone on the phone when he pulls up in his car and gets out and talks to us. He said he has a couple of Mormon amigos and he wants to find out more about our church! Our appointment with him fell through because he wasn't home, but we'll see how interested he is this week!

Also, there was a Priest in our ward here that left for his mission this morning! His name was Elder Silva and he is going to Oaxaca Mexico! He is hilarious and will do great things there!

EspaƱol is still hard to understand. I can get a lot of parts of a conversation, but I can't quite connect the words together to figure out exactly what they're saying. But I am getting to be able to contribute more and start conversations with people for a couple minutes! Still a long ways to go.

But I hope everything is going great where all of you are at like it is here! Love you all!

A road that's pretty far away in our area.
