Week 4 has come and gone
EVERYBODY SHUT UP! MY BOY'S ON TV!! Right, now that I've got your attention, hello and welcome to my letter today. I am SO STOKED for General Conference this weekend. Y'all better be there or be square. Or at least listen to it.
Entonces, I don't have my journal with me so I'm just gonna wing this. That was a bat pun. Just know that what I talk about in this letter has happened within the last week. Because I may not remember the day.
Entonces, we took this terrible test the other day to see how far our Spanish has come. Needless to say, everyone hated the test and I can't think straight under pressure. So it went pretty bad. For example, on of the questions was, "One of the first things that will happen when you go into the mission field is you will meet your Mission President. Describe what you think will happen you meet your Mission President." And it's not like I had a ton of time to think about what I wanted to say. They gave me like 30 seconds to prepare and then I had to speak about through a mic in only 30 seconds. So yeah.
Entonces, the next thing I want to share with everyone is about a spider. So this spider is like huge. Like basically the size of my palm. And is just chillin right outside a window on our casa. Needless to say, we weren't gonna have any of this spider. So Elder Oldham smacked it with a flyswatter and killed it, then proceeded to slip on the wet tile in the entryway to our casa and scrape his knee. It was quite the turn of events.
Entonces, our service project this week almost seemed pointless. It was like they wanted us to rake up dead, mowed grass and move it 100 yards away. Where they would spread out the grass for someone else to rake up and move it again. But I don't think they would have us do that. Also it was by the wall of the CCM and literally there were like 10 spiders for every square inch.
Entonces, there is probably something big that I am forgetting to say. But for now I believe this is it.
Love y'all.
Hasta luego y gracias por todos los pescados.
Elder Turner
Lots of pictures.
And the temple.
And a scripture case.
And a hillside full of colorful houses but getting a picture of it is a pain.
And 2 new ties!
Also, here's a pic with half of the Latino district that we are comps with.
My comp, Elder Palacios, isn't in it though
Also, I don't know if you have seen the Mormon Message called The Hope of God's Light, but it is really powerful! Just wanted to share it!
