Week 2 at the CCM

Buenos Días!
The second week here at the CCM was great! Though I am already like halfway through my third week. Anyways, so the day after my last p-day, Saturday, it rained insanely hard. And me and my comp got completely soaked because we didn't have an umbrella and I left my rain jacket in the classroom, which was where we were going. We got two new investigators to teach, Andrea and Joan, even thought both are still our teachers. It still feels real when we teach them. There was also a parade going on outside the walls that we could see a little bit of from our classroom. And there was some stars in the sky that we could see for the first that night too.
Sunday, the 10th, was a great spiritual day. But not the greatest physical health day. I started to get a little bit of a sore throat, though I am fine. But the 3 different devotionals we had that day were awesome. One of the devotionals we watched was a broadcast from back in 2011 with Elder Holland and it was really powerful. That and along with the devotional later in the day with President Eves went hand in hand. Both had to deal with the fact of how high the number of missionaries go inactive after their missions was, and how we can become more fully converted ourselves so that doesn't happen. A few of us in our district joined the CCM Choir too, and we got to perform for the Tuesday devotional.
At this point, days are already starting to blur together and I can't quite remember if what I did was yesterday or a week ago. But I think it's a good thing. With that said, I don't remember what we did on Monday and I don't have my journal with me to say. SO onto Tuesday.
Tuesday was the day that Trevyn, or Elder Bradshaw, got here at the CCM, although I didn't get to see him then. Tuesday is the other day when we have devotionals, so we have get all fancy and wear our suits. But the devotional was really cool. It was with Elder Valenzuela and the talk was cool how it was done. He started speaking to us in Inglés with one of the branch presidents translating it into Español. Then Elder Valenzuela switched to Español and the branch president translated it back to Inglés. But it was funny because while Elder Valenzuela was talking in Inglés, the branch president went to translate it and starting talking in Inglés too. This was when we got to perform our song too, which happened to be a modified version of the EFY Medley and was in Español. It was really powerful and I was craving to sing that song for a while now in a big group. It was awesome.
Wednesday was another great day. The reason being that me and my companion got to place our first Libro de Mormón to a real person who was doing construction here at the CCM. Our whole district did too. At first, we talked to this guy named Miguel who also said his name was Mike. But it turns out he was already a member so we went to find someone else to give it too. Then we talked to Manuel, who was just chilling on the back of his car with the trunk open. We walked up to him and asked how he was and if he had heard about the Book of Mormon. We also asked him if he believed in God and Jesus Christ, which he said he did! So we explained a little bit about the Libro de Mormón and gave him one, and also gave him a pamphlet about temples and families too. And all of this was in Español too! It was really awesome!
And then there's today. P-day. The greatest day besides Sundays. P-days always take the stress away and we played volleyball for like 2-3 hours straight. It was nice. We are probably to play for another hour or two after this also. Esta iluminado.
I'm still learning mi Español, and I have no idea how much I still have to learn, but I do know that I won't stop learning it anytime soon. The days are long, but times flies by. Stay strong and know that the Lord is with you!

Another quick email added in -
Oh, and I am sending a real letter today too, but I wrote it on Sunday night so it's a bit late... Also I heard a rumor that there was supposed to be a big earthquake hitting Mexico City this week, which I talked about in my letter a bit, but I don't think it's true. But that earthquake that happened was really massive, which I didn't know about until Tuesday night at the devotional. Also I have seen Trevyn here so that was awesome!
And another one -
Just wanted to say that I got slammed in the face with a volleyball on Wednesday. It hurt quite a bit. Also we played against the libero who played for BYU, Elder Worthington. He is good at volleyball. Thanks.
Elder Turner out.
